What Vaarta does

Built for the way
India meets.

Core recording

Dual-source recording

Captures your microphone and system audio simultaneously. Whether you're speaking or listening on a call, every word lands in the transcript. No plug-ins, no virtual cables.

Powered by Sarvam AI

Transcription runs through India's own Sarvam AI — a model trained on Indian speech patterns, regional accents, and natural code-switching between languages.

Batch API Indian languages Sarvam AI

Speaker diarization

After your recording ends, Sarvam AI analyses the audio and labels each speaker’s segments — so you always know who said what, not just what was said.

Multilingual & auto-detect

Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Malayalam and more. Language is detected automatically from your audio.

Meeting library

Meeting library & search

All your meetings in one searchable place. Every entry shows duration, detected language, and an AI summary at a glance.

AI-generated summaries

After each meeting, Vaarta generates a concise summary and insights — surfacing key points without you having to re-read the full transcript.

Action items & tasks

Tasks and action items discussed during the meeting are extracted and surfaced in a dedicated Tasks view — nothing slips through after the call ends.

Meeting groups

Organise meetings into custom groups — by project, team, or client. Keep related conversations together and switch contexts instantly.

Dashboard

A visual overview of your meeting activity — recording patterns, language distribution, and recent sessions at a glance.

Secure by design

Authentication via Google OAuth. Credentials stored in the OS keychain — never in plain files or local storage. Your tokens stay off disk.

are saying.

We run all our internal standups in Hindi and English mixed. Before Vaarta, we had zero documentation. Now every decision is captured automatically.

The speaker diarization is what sold me. I review recordings with three or four people talking — knowing exactly who said what saves me hours every week.

Tamil transcription accuracy is genuinely impressive. I’ve tried four other tools — none came close to Vaarta’s accuracy on regional language content.

Common questions

Answers,
up front.

Vaarta uses Sarvam AI’s transcription engine, which supports Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Malayalam, Odia, and Indian English. The language is detected automatically from your audio — no manual selection needed.
Yes. Vaarta captures system audio directly from Windows, so it records whatever plays through your speakers or headphones — including Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or any other conferencing tool. Combined with your microphone input, you get a complete transcript of both sides of the call.
Diarization runs as a batch job via Sarvam AI after your recording is complete — not in real time. Once you stop recording, the audio is submitted and Sarvam AI analyses it to detect distinct voice segments, grouping them by speaker. Each segment in the transcript is then labelled (Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc.).
Vaarta records audio locally — a connection is only needed when sending the completed recording to Sarvam AI for transcription and diarization. If you lose connectivity before stopping the recording, your audio is still captured locally and transcription can be retried once you’re back online.
Transcripts are stored locally in a SQLite database on your device. Authentication is handled securely through Google OAuth, and your credentials are kept in the OS keychain — never in plain files or local storage.
Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), 4 GB RAM minimum, approximately 50 MB of free disk space, a working microphone or audio input, and an internet connection for transcription processing.
